The Chapter offers its members educational and training opportunities through conferences, workshops, and technical meetings. 

The online CCHPS meeting platform (webinars) was lunched in March 2020, when the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and stay-at-home order prompted the CCHPS to cancel our monthly technical meetings. We recognized the importance of continuing education credits and maintaining certifications to our members. We deployed all resources we could get to keep our members involved and informed.

The Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society offers a 13-week course for individuals preparing for the American Board of Health Physics (ABHP) Part II certification exam (also useful to those taking Part I) and for those who want a refresher course in health physics.

The Columbia Chapter of Health Physics Society (CCHPS) holds an awards ceremony each year. At this ceremony, the CCHPS honors individuals who have been selected by the Awards Committee members to be recognized for accomplishments and actions that meet the criteria of one of the CCHPS awards.
